Piedzīvojuma gars [PG] (English: Adventure Spirit) is an experiential and experimental outdoor education organisation, that focuses on individual, team and community development processes founded in 2011 in Latvia. Since then PG has actively worked to support the growth of young people, school classes, student groups, businesses and local communities altogether by implementing and improving non-formal learning processes while using outdoors as a method for providing a challenging, flexible and inviting environment that creates meaningful connections between participating people and enhances deeper, embodied learning.
We work mostly on a regional level, from time to time leading national training and a few years ago started to go international through Erasmus+ (KA1, KA2, EVS/Solidarity Corps projects). On a yearly basis, we reach and work with around 8000 people, both locally and internationally. We achieve this by having a highly driven and adventure-seeking team of about 10 highly capable trainers, approximately 20 instructors, more than 80 volunteers, 300+ members and having a broad network of both national and international partners that we share similar values and methods.
PG over the past few years has become one of the fastest-growing outdoor adventure learning organisations in Latvia and we believe it’s thanks to our clearly defined:
